This is the day...the plan is made.  The shop was not a mistake!  It was a learning experience...just like the two catches dropped in a bowl game recently by a stand-in punt receiver named McClanahan...he dropped two punts...helped the other team win...but although I can remember the dropper, I don't remember the team who won.

 

So I'm dropping the ball sort of...keep checking the website.  We'll be back and we're really still here, "metamorphing" into something more appealing we hope.

Such an adventure...such a learning experience.  The possiblities remain, but I leapt before I looked and I've got to crawl out of the hole and look a bit before trying again.

Then there is basketball season.  We are not really good at putting anything ahead of basketball and especially not a store opened on a whim.

What it accomplished:

I know many things I didn't know before, but primarily I know now that I don't know enough to start a retail store.

Vada and Charlie were trying to conceive for a while and I wanted Vada to have something else, a distraction from the fact that for about 6 months they had not conceived.  It really wasn't that long, but I'm impulsive and impatient.  Well it worked...we have a bun in the oven. 

I found an extremely creative, Sonia Samms, who has transformed the appearance of the store.  

So...here we go...we opened quick, we're closing after not quite two months open.  And we are closing for 3 months.  In April, I will try again.  Although I may do an odd Saturday here and there as I have a chance +  we are going to put more effort into offerings online.
